Hepsiburada, with the consultancy of Global IT, chose PD-SSD drives for high I/O. For the best performance and low cost , he chose the new T2D Tau VM as the machine type. The architectural structure and load balancing features are configured appropriately.

Challenges

  • Hepsiburada’s search engine was running in two data centers, two active-active Elasticsearch clusters.
  • Because manual scaling processes are built on a fixed and non-scalable architecture, especially during campaign periods like Black Friday .

We have improved our automation and scaling capabilities by modernizing the structure we use on Google Cloud with next-generation container technologies. We increased our efficiency and saved money to use when needed. This efficiency has been achieved higher with the introduction of the next generation of TAU virtual machines on Google Cloud. The support and guidance of both Google and Global IT teams helped during the study.
